This workshop introduces the basic functionality of pandas, a library that provides data structures and data analysis tools for Python. The workshop is taught using Jupyter Notebook and will cover how to use Jupyter Notebook on the Interactive Data Analytics Service (IDAS).

Prerequisites: familiarity with Jupyter Notebook, plus knowledge of basic concepts and features of Python, as covered in our workshop “Python for Data Analysis: Python Fundamentals” or roughly sections 3 to 6 in the official Python tutorial.

This workshop is taught in 3 sessions over 3 days. Each session builds on the previous ones. Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions in order to learn the complete contents of the workshop.
