This issue should now be resolved.

Large, multi-section courses may see that some students show in the incorrect section in the assignment Speedgrader. The Gradebook should not be affected, and these students should be shown in the correct sections in the course Gradebook. 

This is a known issue, and ITS staff are working with Canvas vendor support on resolving this issue.
