When Siteimprove flags an issue on your site, it will suggest solutions to correct the problem. However, sometimes an issue is falsely identified. Other times the solution is not clear.

Below are some common Siteimprove issues and what to do.

Heading is not descriptive

Siteimprove may flag a page with the issue "Heading is not descriptive" and identify the page as possibly failing the 2.4.6 Headings and Labels (Level AA) accessibility standard.

Siteimprove recently rejected a series of instances reported as false positive. For person profile content, the short-term guidance is to ignore this potential issue and focus on other A and AA issues. For other content, you should consider whether users would benefit from a more descriptive heading but you should not attempt to make changes just to get Siteimprove to accept it.
