ITS-AIS Identity and Access Management team provides tools to enable federated authentication using local credentials (HawkID and password) for access to local and remote resources.  Shibboleth is software that allows users to securely authenticate and release directory data to protected web resources at the university, other institutions, or cloud applications that agree to operate under a common set of guidelines in a "federation."
