When Siteimprove flags an issue on your site, it will suggest solutions to correct the problem. However, sometimes an issue is falsely identified. Other times the solution is not clear.

Below are some common Siteimprove issues and what to do.

Heading is not descriptive

Siteimprove may flag a page with the issue "Heading is not descriptive" and identify the page as possibly failing the 2.4.6 Headings and Labels (Level AA) accessibility standard.

This frequently occurs on person profile pages, where the page title is the person's name. The name is a descriptive heading so the flag is a false positive that can be dismissed.

When flagged on other pages, take a closer look at your headings and make changes if needed
