All University of Iowa students, faculty and staff are assigned a HawkID for access to many online services. HawkIDs are created during the admissions process or are assigned when you join the University of Iowa.
Guests, collaborators, contracts, and other external users who need access to University of Iowa systems may also be invited to create a HawkID.
Your HawkID acts as your username, is unique and remains with you indefinitely.
When using your HawkID to log in to online services you may have to use two different formats: HawkID or HawkID@uiowa.edu
Look Up Your HawkID
- If you are unsure what your HawkID is, you can look it up using the HawkID Look Up Tool
- If you are unsure what your HawkID password is, you can reset your password using the Forgot HawkID Password Tool
For additional information and support regarding the HawkID, please visit the HawkID Tools page or contact the ITS Help Desk at 319-384-HELP (4357).
UI Health Care workers and some students will use a second ID, their HealthCareID, to access clinical systems.
Find more information about the HealthCareID on the HealthCareID Solution Center or by calling 319-356-0001
