Students are able to connect their gaming consoles, smart TVs, or other media devices to the Internet in the residence halls through their ResNet wired connection. For information on connecting to ResNet please see the instructions for connecting to ResNet.

Gaming consoles, smart TVs and similar media devices are not able to connect to the main university wireless network, eduroam. However, some types of wireless devices that may not be connected to eduroam may be connected using UI-DeviceNet. You must register your device for UI-DeviceNet before connecting it. You may not bypass these restrictions by installing your own access point. Read more about our policies regarding unauthorized access points.
