What is UICapture?
UICapture can create digital recordings of audio, video and screen content via a software application that is installed on either Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, or Android. UICapture records this content, processes it and can make the content available as streamed presentations, downloadable audio and video podcasts. UICapture content can be easily linked to ICON courses or other web sites.
ICON and UICapture are fully integrated, allowing faculty and students immediate and simple access to lecture capture.

UICapture will be undergoing scheduled maintenance. Service interruption is not anticipated.
UICapture is scheduled for planned maintenance, but the service will be available during this time.
ITS support staff has resolved this problem.
UICapture users attempting to log into the Panopto recording software using engineering.uicapture.uiowa.edu will not be able to record content. All other UICapture server addresses are unaffected. ITS staff are working with the software vendor to resolve this issue.
UICapture will be undergoing planned maintenance in order to upgrade to Panopto version 5.6. The service will be unavailable during this time. Recordings created during this time will upload once the service is back online.
UICapture is currently unable to reprocess and edit UICapture sessions.
A maintenance window has been scheduled for 15 minutes at 5:00pm today to fix this issue. During the maintenance window uploads to the UICapture servers will be unavailable. Video playback and other common service features are unaffected.

Original Notice: UICapture quiz reporting in ICON is currently unavailable. All other UICapture functions are working as expected. ITS is working with vendors to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
UICapture will be undergoing server maintenance. Expect service downtime of approximately one hour.
UICapture will be undergoing an upgrade from Panopto version 5.3 to Panopto version 5.5. The upgrade window will begin with approximately two hours of service downtime. Expect limited accessibility to the service throughout the rest of the morning.

Canvas courses are starting to come back online, but are loading slowly. The outage earlier today due to issues with Amazon Web Services in the cloud may not be fully resolved. Amazon has repaired access to existing files in Canvas. Uploading new files to Canvas is not working correctly.
The issues with Qualtrics and Lynda.com are resolved.
This outage is due to issues with Amazon Web Services in the cloud. Other services impacted that are not available are Qualtrics, UI Capture (Panopto) and Lynda.com.
The ICON service is down. Support staff are working to resolve the issue. This notice will be updated once we have more information.
