What is ICON Direct?
ICON Direct is the University of Iowa's initiative for ordering digital content from specific publishers and delivering this content to students and faculty.
Inclusive access, also known in some schools as "Digital Direct" or "All Students Acquire" is a model of course content delivery that provides access to eTexts and online learning platforms (such as Mastering Chemistry or MyMathLab) automatically to the students enrolled in specific courses. The inclusive aspect of the model means that every student enrolled has the same content available on the first day of class. By delivering content through the ICON course site, ICON Direct ensures all students and faculty have access to their content in a common, easily accessible location.

The ICON Direct Order Tool and the Unizin Engage eReader will undergo maintenance with a brief period of impacted functionality.

ICON Direct is loading slowly. Support staff are working with Unizin Support to resolve the issue.

The Engage eReader is experiencing issues with loading textbooks within ICON. Unizin engineers are working to resolve this.
ICON Direct will receive infrastructure updates. The updates may disrupt access to EPUBs in Engage during the maintenance window.

The ICON Direct Order Tool is experiencing issues with the Fall 2020 ordering catalog. Support staff are working with Unizin Support to resolve the issue.
ICON Direct orders can still be placed by using the "Content Request" feature.
Pearson will be updating several of their systems to improve performance and security.
All MyLab, MyLabsPlus, Mastering, Modified Mastering, Learning Studio, Revel, eText, Learning Applications, Pearson Writer, Pearson Reader, Statcrunch, Coachmarks, Feedback, Registrar Reports, and Lever courses will be completely inaccessible.
Please do not try to access or work in these courses during the maintenance window.
