The need for this proactive maintenance is to apply a critical security update to a core component of the Top Hat infrastructure. This component is widely used across the software industry, and Top Hat will be applying this update in response to a notification from their cloud provider, AWS.
Top Hat is scheduling this maintenance at a time that minimizes impact to faculty or students.
