Instructors can once again use the MAUI in ICON tool to manage their courses.
 

Users should continue to access these platforms directly:

  • Student Perceptions of Teaching (SPOT)
  • Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft 365 applications

ITS continues to work to bring connections to external apps back online, most are working correctly.

You may see periodic moments of disruption as ITS staff work with vendors to ensure ICON integrations are working properly.

The following integrations will remain turned off for the time being. Users should access the platforms directly.

ICON is now available. Some functionality (including integration with Office 365) is unavailable at this time.

ITS is continuing to monitor the situation and is working with the vendor to restore full service in a safe and secure manner.

We will provide additional information on Friday morning.

At this time, ICON, the University of Iowa’s Canvas product, is unavailable for users because of a national cybersecurity issue affecting numerous universities across the country.

Our ITS team is actively monitoring the situation and remains in close communication with the vendor as they work to resolve the issue safely and restore service.

We recognize how disruptive this is—particularly as we approach the end of the semester—and we are working closely with faculty to ensure flexibility and continuity for our students.
