The shared hosting SQL Server instances IOWASQLPROD7 (IOWASQLHOST1/2/3) and IOWASQLPROD8 (IOWASQLSEC4) will be intermittently unavailable while ITS performs scheduled maintenance to migrate storage to new physical hardware.  Although no application changes are necessary for this maintenance, the extended database downtime may cause certain applications to hang and require a service restart after the work is complete.

A total outage of up to 90 minutes per system is expected sometime during this maintenance window.  Please contact the SQL Server DBA team at ITS-SQL-Help@uiowa.edu if you are uncertain if your databases are in scope.
