As part of the Data Center Network Segmentation Project, ITS will migrate the SQL Server 2019 shared database hosting environment.  This change will involve updated IP addresses and new firewall configurations for the following production systems:

• IOWASQLPROD7.iowa.uiowa.edu
  • Deprecated aliases: IOWASQLHOST1, IOWASQLHOST2, IOWASQLHOST3
• IOWASQLPROD8.iowa.uiowa.edu
  • Deprecated alias: IOWASQLSEC4
• IOWASQLDMPROD5.iowa.uiowa.edu
  • Deprecated alias: IOWASQLDMHOST3

There will be up to 30 minutes of database downtime during the scheduled maintenance window.  Some applications may require service restarts or full server reboots afterwards: database customers are advised to communicate application downtimes to end users (when appropriate) and to verify functionality after the work is complete.  If you have questions about this maintenance, please contact the ITS SQL Server DBA team at ITS-SQL-Help@uiowa.edu
