There will be a scheduled firmware upgrade on the campus data switch in the Iowa Bioscience Innovation Building. During this maintenance window, network services will be temporarily disrupted.
We recommend saving your work and logging off any critical systems prior to the start of the maintenance period. Services will be restored as soon as the upgrade is successfully completed.

ITS will be performing maintenance to the campus wireless network. This involves upgrading the software that runs the wireless infrastructure.
During the maintenance window wireless performance may be degraded in areas of campus for brief (10 - 15 Minutes of time).
This maintenance is necessary to address routine software and security issues.

During the maintenance window, Top Hat may be unavailable and visitors will see a maintenance page. Any educator who has made an assignment due during or shortly after the maintenance window should consider changing the due date/time so that students have adequate time to complete them.
[Closed] Service Degradation - High Performance Computing
ITS Research Services is currently troubleshooting an issue with one of the Argon Home servers and will need to reboot the system to resolve some of the errors. Users may be unable to connect to the cluster, unable to mount their home directory, or experience general slowness.

ITS will be making changes to eduroam authentication. This involves enabling new authentication methods needed to eventually support Network Segmentation.
No user impact is expected, but there is a risk that the changes may cause wireless connectivity issues.

ITS Research Services is actively troubleshooting lc-rs-storage20.hpc.uiowa.edu. Users may be unable to access their shares or be experiencing extremely slow performance.

SCORM has scheduled maintenance windows planned on April 7, 2026 from 10pm to 4am and again on April 14, 2026 from 10pm to 4am. SCORM will be unavailable during this time. This maintenance is to perform SCORM version upgrades to support the latest functionality.
