[Closed] Planned Maintenance - ICON Direct - Transition to VitalSource eReader
The ICON Direct eReader is switching from RedShelf to VitalSource on Monday, May 18, 2026. eTexts for Summer 26 classes will be available by approximately noon on May 18th.
Service Announcement - ICON Direct - New VitalSource eReader
The ICON Direct eReader has been updated to VitalSource.
Important Notes:
- Upon opening an eText in the VitalSource eReader, you will need to accept the VitalSource Terms of Use - this will only need to be completed once, when the eReader is accessed for the first time.
- The VitalSource eReader requires 3rd party cookies to be enabled in order to work correctly (and for Safari users, there's an additional setting that needs to be toggled); more information about this can be found in this Unizin article.

During this maintenance window, MyLab and Mastering will not be available.

SiteNow's hosting provider will be performing maintenance. Some applications may experience a temporary interruption of service.

[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Planned Analog Line Maintenance
There is a planned maintenance on the Voice Gateway to be performed on May 13th. Should take place between 6am and 7am. User may experience interruptions in analog telephony service during this time.

During the maintenance window, Top Hat may be unavailable and visitors will see a maintenance page. Any educator who has made an assignment due during or shortly after the maintenance window should consider changing the due date/time so that students have adequate time to complete them.

WileyPlus materials will be unavailable during this maintenance window. Status updates are available here.

SiteNow's hosting provider will be performing maintenance from 11pm - 7am on the dates affected. Some applications may experience a temporary interruption of service.

[Closed] Outage - Campus Safety Phone Service
Due to a phone service interruption, Campus Safety is unable to receive phone calls to its non-emergency line, 319-335-5022.
Please continue to use 911 for all emergency calls. All non-emergency calls should temporarily be directed to 319-335-1990.
This interruption is currently impacting elevator phones, area of rescue phones, and all other lines that ring into Campus Safety. 911 is not impacted.
University Skype for Business and Teams telephony phone systems are not impacted by this outage.
An update will be provided when service has been restored.
