[Closed] Service Degradation - macOS
For UI-managed devices:
Computers running macOS Sonoma 14.5 do not properly create the local Keychain database when a user logs into the computer for the first time using their HawkID credentials. The user may see a message similar to "A keychain could not be found store "login"". Various applications that depend on the Keychain to store cryptographic information (Adobe, Microsoft, Safari) will encounter problems.
Shared computers in classrooms and common areas will be the devices most affected by this issue. Local accounts on the computer, created through Users and Groups in System Settings
[Closed] Service Announcement - University of Iowa Mobile App
Beginning August 1, 2024, a new University of Iowa mobile app will be available in mobile app stores. One of the primary features of the app is a direct connection to MyUI, which allows students to use the platform within the app without having to log in with their HawkID and password each time. The app also connects students to resources and allows them to pay their U-bill, schedule appointments, and find their way around campus all from their smartphone.
The HawkTools app will be deprecated and no longer supported.
Find more information on the Mobile App service page.
