[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Multiple Services
ITS Enterprise Infrastructure will be upgrading network leaves in the ITF data center as part of April's infrastructure day. These updates are to address bug fixes. The updates will require reboots of the leaves that will result in the following Research Services systems having a network outage over the course of the maintenance window.
Argon HPC:
Access to the cluster will be unavailable during the outage window. Jobs that were submitted prior to the maintenance window will continue to run. Jobs running from the impacted LSS shares below will lose connection. Users will also be unable to mount
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Interactive Data Analytics Service (IDAS)
New sessions may fail to start. Active sessions will continue to run. We recommend that users log in and start their sessions before the maintenance window.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Data Center Operations & Services
The ITS Network Engineering Services (NES) Data Center team will be implementing code upgrades:
Network leaf upgrades at the ITF datacenter. Leaf upgrades will impact non-redundant (single) connected devices. Dual/redundant connected devices are not expected to see an outage. Additional communication will be sent to owners of single connected devices.

During this maintenance time, Mastering content will be either degraded or unavailable. Status updates are available here.
[Closed] Service Degradation - Microsoft 365 Copilot
ITS is investigating an issue impacting Microsoft 365 Copilot. Users may be able to submit prompts; however, responses may fail during or after generation and display an error message (e.g., “Oops! Something happened. Can you try again?”). The cause of the issue is currently under investigation.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Campus Data Network Connectivity, Medical Laboratories
Please be advised that ml-12 will undergo an emergency preventative maintenance reboot.
During this time, the switch will be temporarily unavailable, and any connected devices or services may experience a brief disruption in network connectivity.
Expected Downtime: 10-20 minutes while the reboot is in progress.
Please plan accordingly and ensure that any critical tasks or operations are completed prior to the scheduled maintenance window.

During this maintenance window, network services will be temporarily disrupted. The expected downtime is approximately 15 to 60 minutes while the upgrade is in progress.
We recommend saving your work and logging off any critical systems prior to the start of the maintenance period. Services will be restored as soon as the upgrade is successfully completed. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

There will be a scheduled firmware upgrade on the campus data switch in the Iowa Bioscience Innovation Building. During this maintenance window, network services will be temporarily disrupted.
We recommend saving your work and logging off any critical systems prior to the start of the maintenance period. Services will be restored as soon as the upgrade is successfully completed.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Multiple Services
ITS will be performing maintenance to the campus wireless network. This involves upgrading the software that runs the wireless infrastructure.
During the maintenance window wireless performance may be degraded in areas of campus for brief (10 - 15 Minutes of time).
This maintenance is necessary to address routine software and security issues.

During the maintenance window, Top Hat may be unavailable and visitors will see a maintenance page. Any educator who has made an assignment due during or shortly after the maintenance window should consider changing the due date/time so that students have adequate time to complete them.
