ITS offers a SQL service for Virtual Machines.  The service is targeted for applications that need Systems Administrator (SA) rights to the database.

The $40 per month covers

• SQL License with software updates
  • We will install what ever version of SQL the applications needs
  • ITS will prefer SQL Enterprise because of login and security options
• Backups with Tivoli Data Protection Manager
  • Generally set up to back up every 15 minutes
• Database consulting with ITS Database Administrators

If a department already owns a copy of SQL or wants to purchase SQL another way. ITS will NOT change the $40 but will also not provide the above services.
