Below is the procedure to change the URL of a SiteNow Standard website:

  1. A site owner of the current website submits a request for a new SiteNow Standard website with the new URL desired.
  2. If the request is approved, a SiteNow Standard website with the new URL is provisioned.
  3. The site owners of the website add content to the new website and, when ready, contact the ITS Help Desk to request that a redirect be put in place and the old website be deleted. Note: No content is automatically copied from the old website to the new website.
  4. A redirect from the old URL to the new URL is set up for six months, and the old website is deleted.
