Below is the procedure to change the URL of a SiteNow Standard website:
- A site owner of the current website submits a request for a new SiteNow Standard website with the new URL desired.
- If the request is approved, a SiteNow Standard website with the new URL is provisioned.
- The site owners of the website add content to the new website and, when ready, contact the ITS Help Desk to request that a redirect be put in place and the old website be deleted. Note: No content is automatically copied from the old website to the new website.
- A redirect from the old URL to the new URL is set up for six months, and the old website is deleted.
