Some students may not be receiving email notifications for course announcements from Canvas.
ITS staff are working with Canvas vendor support on resolving this issue.

The To-Do items in the Canvas dashboard may not show items. To view To Do items, students should navigate to individual courses. In the Canvas mobile app, the To Do list may display all past and future assignments. These are known issues.
ITS is working with Canvas vendor support to resolve these issues.

Large, multi-section courses may see that some students show in the incorrect section in the assignment Speedgrader. The Gradebook should not be affected, and these students should be shown in the correct sections in the course Gradebook.
This is a known issue, and ITS staff are working with Canvas vendor support on resolving this issue.
[Closed] Service Degradation - Elements of Success
Students accessing Elements of Success from an ICON course encounter an error message that says, "Your current access level does not allow you to use this tool. Please reach out to the instructor or the ITS Help Desk to request access."
Support staff are investigating.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Note Depot
We are fixing a few bugs and updating the URL path. We don't expect a long downtime for the service. But you may notice a brief interruption if you are using Note Depot between during the maintenance period.
You will need to update your bookmarks or saved links after the update is applied. ICON Navigation Bar links to Note Depot will be automatically updated.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Multiple Services
ITS will be performing maintenance to the campus wireless network. This involves upgrading the software that runs the wireless infrastructure as well as wireless authentication.
During the maintenance window wireless performance may be degraded in areas of campus for brief (10 - 15 Minutes of time).
In the afternoon there will be a period of time that access to UI-Guest and the UI-DeviceNet registration portal will be unavailable for 45 to 60 minutes.
This maintenance is necessary to address routine software and security issues.

Top Hat has scheduled maintenance on the first Sunday of every month, from 4:00 AM CT to 7:00 AM CT.
During the maintenance window, Top Hat will be unavailable and visitors to app.tophat.com will see a maintenance page.
[Closed] Outage - Research Data Collaboration Service (RDCS)
Research Data Collaboration Service (RDCS/Globus) endpoint is currently unavailable. ITS Research Services is troubleshooting the issue. Users will not be able to transfer data using RDCS/Globus to or from LSS, Argon homes, or /nfsscratch.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Microsoft SQL Server Hosting and Administration - SQL Server 2019 Shared Database Hosting Migrations
As part of the Data Center Network Segmentation Project, ITS will migrate the SQL Server 2019 shared database hosting environment. This change will involve updated IP addresses and new firewall configurations for the following non-production systems:

- Deprecated aliases: IOWASQLTEST1, IOWASQLTEST2, IOWASQLTEST3
- IOWASQLTEST8.iowa.uiowa.edu
- Deprecated alias: IOWASQLSECTEST4
- IOWASQLDMTEST5.iowa.uiowa.edu
- Deprecated alias: IOWASQLDMTEST3
There will be up to 30 minutes of database downtime during the scheduled maintenance window. Some applications may require service restarts

LC Datacenter subnets are experiencing a network outage. Some affected services include PeopleSoft, Employee Self-Service, and Universal Workflow. NES is investigating.
