The Unified Communications team has received reports of a small number of our VoIP phones having issues. The team is working with vendors to find a solution to the issues. 

Engineers have identified an issue with the wireless discovery service that prevents laptops and mobile devices from finding AirPlay and Miracast wireless displays (Mersive Solstice) in classrooms and conference rooms. This issue is also affecting Assistive Listening broadcasts in select campus locations.

Workaround: If your device doesn't list the display, you can still connect by entering the IP address shown on the display's screen.

The cause is an underlying issue in the network architecture, and resolving it will take some time. Network Engineering Services (NES) is developing a plan and

The 'Message Students Who' feature in ICON quizzes and assignments is currently unavailable.  IT Staff are aware of the issue and working with the vendor to resolve.

Engineers have identified a known issue with the wireless discovery service that prevents personal mobile devices from discovering Assistive Listening broadcasts in select campus locations. Dedicated assistive listening devices are unaffected.
Engineers are testing a software update to the wireless system that would resolve this issue and will update this notice when resolved.
