Microsoft 365 provides virtually anywhere access to familiar Office tools, plus enterprise email, conferencing, and more IT services that are hosted in the cloud (managed remotely on servers owned by Microsoft).
Many services you use every day are a part of the cloud— everything from web-based email to mobile banking and online photo storage. Because this infrastructure is located online or “in the cloud,” you can access it virtually anywhere, from a PC, tablet, smartphone, or other device with an Internet connection.
Microsoft 365 gives faculty/staff/students larger e-mail quotas (100gb), OneDrive for Business file storage (1tb), Microsoft Web Apps, instant messaging, video conferencing tools, and much more.

Alert History
Due to security and privacy concerns, the Information Security and Policy Office, in coordination with the CIO and campus IT leadership, has decided to block the Otter.AI mobile application through Office 365. We have already blocked new sign-ins and will be notifying existing users on Wednesday, July 5 and blocking it for them Thursday, July 6.
To be clear, this isn't a prohibition on the use of generative AI, but rather due to the techniques and processes this application used to access, store, and process institutional data. Otter.AI is an application that joins online meetings and uses AI to write automatic meeting notes with real-time transcription, recorded audio, automated slide capture, and automated meeting summaries. The problematic behavior is the way Otter.AI tries to get people to sign-up for the service, often without clear understanding from people using the app. Also problematic is that it can be used without others in the meeting knowing.
