Microsoft 365 is the primary campus email and calendaring service for Faculty, Staff, and Students. The service can be used through a web interface and email clients such as Microsoft Outlook, as well as mobile devices. From this page, you can find configuration instructions, answers to frequently asked questions, and information on various clients and mobile devices using Microsoft 365.

IMPORTANT NEWS

Email Attachment Scanning -- Last spring (March 2024) we implemented Email Security Enhancements, but the past few days users are reporting issues with it taking a long time to scan the attachments and/or being prompted to login with Hawkid and password to view. We recommend waiting  a bit before opening the attachment.  Safe Attachments performance can vary depending on cloud resource availability. On higher utilization days, that process may take longer than usual.  If opening the attachment is an issue, consider sharing the file via OneDrive.

 

Listserv Policy Changes -- beginning Dec 1, 2024, we will no longer create new Listserv lists and any lists that haven't been used is more than 13 months will be deleted.  See https://its.uiowa.edu/services/listserv-owner-information-listserv-mailing-list-service/listserv-removal-project for information.
