The following pull down menus provide user instruction for traditional analog phone devices, typically located in shared areas such as labs, conference rooms, classrooms and hallways. Information on Skype devices can be found on the Skype service page.
NOTE: The following are instructions specific to the University of Iowa campus (not including areas served by the UIHC telephone system).
To transfer a call: Press the Flash button and dial the transfer destination number. You must stay on the line until you hear ring back tone in your ear. Once you hear the ring back tone you can hang up the phone.
To place a call on hold: Press the Hold button
To retrieve a call on hold: Press the Hold button again
To mute a call: Press the MUTE button (the display will show MIC MUTED), and the button will light. Press the MUTE button again to restore two-way conversation.
To transfer a call: Press the Flash button and dial the transfer destination number. You must stay on the line until you hear ring back tone in your ear. Once you hear the ring back tone you can hang up the phone.
This feature is not supported on this phone.
