[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Large Scale Storage (LSS)
ITS Research Services will be preforming maintenance on lc-rs-store34.hpc.uiowa.edu at 5pm on Monday June 22nd for approximately an hour. No other LSS systems will be impacted by this maintenance.
During the maintenance, access to affected shares from within Argon will pause, blocking the file I/O of any running jobs attempting access until resuming when the maintenance is complete. Jobs themselves will see this as a delay in file I/O but should otherwise continue running normally. SMB connections will disconnect, and will need to be reconnected following the maintenance window. Zoom is currently having intermittent issues with logging into the service and potentially impacting in progress meetings.
ITS staff are currently working with the vendor to resolve the issue.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Clickers
During the maintenance window, Top Hat may be unavailable and visitors will see a maintenance page. Any educator who has made an assignment due during or shortly after the maintenance window should consider changing the due date/time so that students have adequate time to complete them.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Multiple Services, Buildings
Network Engineering Services will be upgrading the campus wired infrastructure. During this upgrade wired and wireless connectivity will be down.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Campus Data Network Connectivity, Multiple Buildings
Health Sciences Academic Building(hsab-10) and Iowa Bioscience Innovation Facility (ibif-4) switches will undergo a preventative maintenance reboot.
During this time, the switch will be temporarily unavailable, and any connected devices or services may experience a brief disruption in network connectivity.
Expected Downtime: 10-20 minutes while the reboot is in progress.
Please plan accordingly and ensure that any critical tasks or operations are completed prior to the scheduled maintenance window.

Linux software mirrors will be down for maintenance during this period.
[Closed] Outage - Pressbooks
The Pressbooks service is currently down. Support staff are working with the vendor to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. This notice will be updated once we have more information.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Data Center Operations & Services
The ITS Network Engineering Services (NES) team will be upgrading software on the core ITF datacenter router (connectivity from both data centers to campus and internet). The redundant core router, located at the LC14 datacenter, will remain up for the duration. There is the potential for a blip in connectivity during router reboot.
As a result of the Data Center Network Refresh, there are some clean-up tasks that need to be completed. The ITS Data Center Hosting team is removing some legacy network devices at the LC14 datacenter that require production cabling to be disconnected and

ITS support staff is actively working with Microsoft to investigate and resolve the issue.
[Closed] Service Degradation - Multiple Services
Microsoft is investigating a potential issue impacting Copilot Chat and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Some users may be unable to access Copilot Chat or start a new chat session. Existing open sessions may continue to work for some users, but new sessions may return an error.
This issue appears to impact both Copilot Chat and Microsoft 365 Copilot. Microsoft has posted advisory CW1387674 and is investigating.
No action is needed at this time. Users who already have an active Copilot Chat session open may be able to continue using that session. Users who are unable to start a new session should try again
