Network Engineering Services will be upgrading the campus wired infrastructure. During this upgrade, wired and wireless connectivity will be down.
[Closed] Service Degradation - Large Scale Storage (LSS)
ITS Research Services continues to troubleshoot ongoing performance/hardware issues with itf-rs-store36.hpc.uiowa.edu. We will need to perform an emergency maintenance once we have received replacement parts from the manufacturer. This work will require the system being fully powered down. We will provide additional updates and timeframes once the parts arrive.

We are currently experience a service degradation that is affecting access to some systems in the U of I Research Park (Oakdale)
NES is currently looking into the issue.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - Oracle Hosting and Administration
ITS will perform server maintenance on the Oracle servers. Each instance on the server will be down for approximately 60 minutes per host.

[Closed] Service Announcement - Microsoft SQL Server Hosting and Administration - SQL Server 2019 Shared Database Hosting Migrations
As part of the ITS Data Center Network Segmentation Project, ITS will migrate the SQL Server 2019 shared database hosting environment (over 900 databases) in September 2025. This change will involve updated IP addresses and new firewall configurations for the systems listed in the migration schedule below.
Database hosting customers with EI-managed application & web servers that use a SQL Server 2019 shared database hosting system should not need to make any changes; however, they will experience downtimes during the scheduled maintenance windows, and they are strongly encouraged to verify the

Network Engineering Services will be replacing and rebooting network equipment that supports DHCP services for the northeast side of campus. This work will affect a small number of buildings. Network connectivity in these buildings may be temporarily unavailable during the maintenance window.
[Closed] Planned Maintenance - High Performance Computing
Argon HPC Maintenance
The Argon HPC service will be down for regular maintenance from 8:00 AM on August 13th until 8:00 AM on August 14th. During the maintenance all jobs will be stopped and users will be unable to log in.

SiteNow's hosting provider will be performing maintenance from 11pm - 7am on the dates affected. Some applications may experience a temporary interruption of service.
