If you log on to your campus computer with your HawkID and password, you may experience log on problems after changing your HawkID password from off campus.
Computers save user credentials and the logon password for the computer cannot be updated until the computer is connected to the university network, either by being on campus or by using the UI Anywhere VPN client.
- If you are not on campus or connected using the VPN, you will not be able to use the computer's "change password" function (Ctrl+Alt+Delete) to change your HawkID password.
- If you change your HawkID password through the link on the Office 365 site, the HawkID tools, or by calling the ITS Help Desk, continue using your old HawkID password until you connect to the university network.
- All other HawkID services (email, ICON, HR Self-Service) will require your new HawkID password.
