Due to data security concerns, University of Iowa technology leaders have decided to block the Microsoft Outlook app for smartphones from the university email system starting Friday, Feb. 6.

The Information Security and Policy Office is contacting individuals who use the app, and recommends that users delete the app until the UI is able to remove the block. The block does not apply to the Office 365 system. Microsoft is aware of the issue and will be working to fix it.
